Who is it for?
Carboxytherapy is suitable for men and women of all ages for the treatment of pain.

What is the treatment?
Carboxytherapy involves the controlled injections of sterile medical grade carbon dioxide gas into affected areas
using very fine needles.

How does the treatment work?
Carboxytherapy has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antihypoxic, and antispasmodic effects; it reduces the intensity of
reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and enhances the processes of neovascularization and neocollagenesis.
Carboxytherapy increases the oxygenation of tissues due to the vasodilatory effect of carbon dioxide. Additionally,
carbon dioxide induces the release of oxygen from haemoglobin through the Bohr effect, thereby further increasing
the oxygenation of tissues. The result is improved metabolic processes, removal of cellular metabolic waste products
and overall improvement in functionality.

Benefits of the treatment
Carboxytherapy is a natural, safe and effective treatment, with no downtime.

Duration of treatment
A typical treatment takes 10-45 minutes.

How many sessions are required?
Multiple sessions are required, depending on the indication.

Downtime
There is no downtime and patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately afterwards.
