What is the treatment?
This revolutionary treatment is now available at our clinic! Exosome therapy is one of the
most exciting treatments in the medical and aesthetic world today. Dr Katerina Pattichis was
the first doctor to launch exosome therapy in Cyprus in 2022.
How does the treatment work?
Exosomes are tiny vesicles or sacs that are released from cells including stem cells and act as
the signalling messengers in cell-to-cell communication. They contain various biomolecules,
including proteins, lipids, growth factors, cytokines, enzymes, signalling molecules and
various RNA molecules. Exosomes affect various cell functions such as proliferation,
migration, differentiation, immune response, and angiogenesis.
Benefits of the treatment
Exosomes have many potential benefits and applications in aesthetic medicine, especially
for skin and scalp health. They are used in the treatment of
- Pigmentation
- Skin laxity
- Dull skin
- Lines & wrinkles
- Scarring
- Acne
- Dermatitis e.g. eczema
- Rosacea
- Other inflammatory conditions eg lichen simplex, psoriasis
- Hair thinning/loss (male and female)
Duration of treatment
A typical treatment takes 30 minutes.
How many sessions are required?
Depending on the severity and indication, 5-10 treatments may be required.
Downtime
There is no downtime and patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately
afterwards.
Dr Katerina Pattichis is recognised as the pioneer of exosome therapy in Cyprus and has
been invited to speak on exosomes to medical and aesthetic practitioners in Cyprus in 2023.
Dr Pattichis has trained and mentored our entire team at ANANEOSIS on the science and use
of exosomes in aesthetic medicine. She has patients travelling from the UK, USA, Europe,
Russia, Ukraine, Israel and the Middle East to be treated.
