FAQ:

Who is it for?

The treatment is suitable for men and women who want and feel and look healthier, younger, and generally wonderful in a short amount of time.

What is the treatment for?

PRP treatment can address male pattern baldness, stimulate the growth of hair transplants and enhance other cosmetic procedures (such as skin rejuvenation, facelift female intimate rejuvenation etc). The technique has also been used to support wound healing in trauma and joint injury.

How does the treatment work?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is also known as the “Golden Elixir” as it contains growth factors which help not only in skin rejuvenation and hair growth but also in wound healing and pain management.

PRP therapy is a 3-step medical treatment where the patient’s blood is drawn, processed to obtain and activate the platelets, and returned to the areas to be treated.

Benefits of the treatment

PRP is harvested from a small sample of the patient’s own blood, and as such it provides a perfect treatment free of allergic, hypersensitivity or foreign body reactions or compatibility problems.

PRP treatment is not a surgical procedure and therefore costs much less than surgery.

Duration of treatment

A typical treatment takes 30-60 minutes.

How many sessions are required?

Initially usually 4-6 treatments are required, depending on the indication, at 2-4 week intervals. Maintenance treatments are advised to maintain the results.

Downtime

There is little or no downtime and patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately afterwards.
