Trichoscopy is performed with a handheld instrument (called a trichoscope) using LED light . The trichoscopic images are recorded digitally for storage or sequential analysis.

Duration of procedure

The examination takes 5-30 minutes depending on the indication.

How many sessions are required?

Trichoscopy is carried out before a hair or scalp treatment and is also used for monitoring the effectiveness of such treatments.
